BWorks Earn-a-Bike Course - Tuesdays 6-8 pm, starting May 28
BWorks Earn-a-Bike is a free, hands-on class that teaches basic bicycle maintenance and safety while fostering important life skills including communication, teamwork, and responsibility to children ages 8-17. After completing a consecutive series of 6 (2-hour) classes, participants earn a refusrbished bicycle and brand new helmet, light set, and lock. Dates for this session of EAB are the following Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm: May 28, June 4, 11, 18, 25 and July 2nd. Classes take place at St. Louis BWorks, located in Soulard at 2414 Menard Street, St. Louis, MO 63104. Fee: We normally do not charge anything to youth participating in our program. Unfortunately we have a handful of no-shows sign up for classes and this reduces the overall number of students who participate. We are trying a $25 class fee that will be refunded upon completion of the six week program. Requirements for course: * EAB students must attend all 6 consecutive classes to earn their bike. If students miss the first day of class, they will need to wait for enrollment in a later session. * Students must be able to ride comfortably on their own without assistance or training wheels. (We offer a separate course for students who do not know how to ride a bike) * We request that a parent/guardian attend the first 20 minutes of the first day. * Each family is limited to 2 registrants per session. * Students must be between the ages of 8-17.
