Fall Harvest: Edible Mushroom ID & Preservation
The biggest season for edible mushrooms is about to begin, but you better have a little knowhow before you get your forage on! Join Emily of Wild Seed Field Museum for a fun-filled evening geeking out about her personal favorite topic. Learn basic mushroom identification and get tips on how to find several easily identifiable edible Fall mushrooms. We'll discuss preservation and you'll make your own healing mushroom tincture! Leave with useful tips and a hand drawn guide to aide you in your future foraging and wildcrafting too! ----- Fall Harvest is a class series where friends can learn about a seasonal wildcrafted project together. Drinks are not included in the ticket price, but are available for purchase before or after the class. Please arrive 10 minutes early and check in at the outdoor register in the greenhouse. Class location is subject to weather, but please dress for comfort in a shady outdoor setting. Walk-ins are welcome, but please call in advance if you are able, as low registrations may result in class cancellation (314-764-2140).
